BENGALA une nuit pour la vie
And so it begins! BENGALA is already preparing for February 25th at the Parisian Laundry, a splendid location in the center of our city.
This year we are getting together to celebrate the implementation of MAAT Haiti Project. Pledged funs will be used to support the development of a nursery school and a training centre for young mothers in the Port-au-Prince region. The fruits of BENGALA’s labours will also allow us to complete the second phase of Project Adelante, a project providing scholarships for young mothers and establishing familial gardens to ensure their dietary welfare, as well as that of their families.
Chaired by Herby Moreau, the second edition of BENGALA will set its standards even higher this year by offering you an evening filled with magic and surprises, the power of which will create a force of change that will concretely impact the paths of many disadvantaged young mothers and their children.
Tickets will soon be on sale on maatworld.org.
We look forward to seeing you on the February 25th!

NIBIRU change is possible
On July 11th 2009, in a sumptuous residence of Old-Montreal, MAÂT presented NIBIRU, the first edition of its annual summer fundraising-event. In spite of the rain and some technical limitations, the guests were once again numerous to take part to the party, allowing to raise 35 000 $.
Thanks to NIBIRU’s success, we can now start financing the renovations to Haiti’s RAZMOKETS nursery and formation centre and put into place Burkina Faso’s MUNYU rural radio aiming to give formation and information to women.
We warmly thank every one who joined us underneath the large cupola to celebrate and share MAÂT’s ideals.
To the pleasure of seing you next February for the second édition of BENGALA !

BENGALA une nuit pour la vie

In a cordial atmosphere and joy shared by more than 600 people, 50 000 dollars of profit were raised during BENGALA on November 20th 2009. The funds will directly be invested towards the realization of the ADELANTE project. Thanks to this great evening, we will be able to finance a personal, social, and technical training program for young mother, along with the production of family kitchen gardens and an artisan bakery intended to improve the quality of life of the young mothers and their children on the Ometepe Island in Nicaragua. We warmly thank all those who contributed to the great success of this first edition of BENGALA and hope to see you next year!
